Bridges & Crowns

Bridges

A bridge may be used to replace missing teeth, help maintain the shape of your face, and restore the proper relationship to alleviate stress on your bite. A bridge replaces missing teeth with artificial teeth, looks great, and literally bridges the gap where one or more teeth may have been. Your bridge can be made from gold, Emax, zirconia, or a combination of these materials and is bonded onto surrounding teeth for support.

Crowns

If decay, cracked fillings, root canals, clenching or grinding the teeth have caused extensive damage to the underlying tooth structure, a dental filling may not be a sufficient restoration. The only way to completely restore the cosmetic appearance and function of this tooth is often full coverage with a dental crown. The good news is that a completed dental crown looks and feels like a natural tooth.

Procedures

With our In-house lab, this process is much faster and more predictable. First, we will take a custom shade. You will not be charged extra or have to make a separate trip across town to a second location for this. Next, the tooth is reduced in size to accommodate a crown. An impression is then made from the existing tooth to create a custom-designed crown by our lab technician. In some cases, a temporary crown is applied until the permanent crown is ready. Permanent crowns are then cemented in place.
